Joe Rogan is one of the most popular figures online and has one of the most known podcasts in the world with millions and millions of people tuning in every month.

However, there is more to the man. Joseph Rogan in fact grew up in a violent and abusive household with little to his name and fortune, but still, he managed to build his life to what it is today and has lived an interesting life so far, to say the least.

Who is Joseph James Rogan?

Joseph James Rogan junior, or Joe Rogan for short, was born on August 11, 1967 in Newark, New Jersey, USA to parents Joseph James Rogan senior and Susan Rogan.

Not surprisingly, his parents divorced when was only 5 years old.

Due to the abuse, his mother moved to San Francisco when Rogan was 7 and married a man who became a loving stepfather to Joe Rogan.

But unfortunately, in addition to his rough childhood upbringing, Joe Rogan was bullied by his peers and had very few friends.

Suffering from low self-esteem and confidence, Joe Rogan picked up martial arts as a form of escape and outlet, specifically contact Tae Kwon Do, which he became really good at. When he was 19, he won the U.S. Open Taekwondo championships and had a bright future in martial arts.
