GetResponse Pricing Plans (2023): How Much Does GetResponse Cost?

Finding it tough to decide whether or not to choose a GetResponse plan? Surely, you don’t want to be spending more than what the leads will return to you. In this GetResponse pricing review, I’ll cover all the packages they offer and help you choose the best plan for your business.

GetResponse Pricing Packages

There are 4 GetResponse pricing plans to choose from and here is where GetResponse can get really tricky. Picking a plan that isn’t the right one for you can do more harm than good because let’s admit it: GetResponse isn’t cheap. How much does it exactly cost? Take a look.

The Basic Plan – $15 per month for a list size of 1,000

The Basic plan is the cheapest of the GetResponse pricing packages. It can cost a minimum of $15 and a maximum of $450 (for a list size of 100,000). Here are the features it offers:

  • Unlimited landing pages and automation templates
  • Email marketing
  • Autoresponders
  • Facebook ads
  • Unlimited lead funnels
  • A Single sales Funnel
  • Option to sell digital products

This plan is perfect for you if you have a business that is at the budding phase and you are looking to get a few heads turning your way. All the GetResponse plans integrate with major platforms like Shopify, WordPress, PayPal, Stripe, Magento, Zapier, WooCommerce, etc.

The Plus Plan – $49 per month for a list size of 1,000

The most popular of the GetResponse pricing plans is the Plus plan. It’s my favorite as well. With this plan, you get everything on the Basic plan as well as the following:

  • Automation builder with 5 workflows
  • The option to conduct webinars with up to 100 attendees (the Basic plan doesn’t include any webinars)
  • Recording storage of 3 hours with each webinar
  • Contact tagging and scoring
  • 5 Sales funnels as opposed to just 1 in the Basic plan
  • 5 Webinar funnels – the Basic plan gives you none!
  • The number of users increases to 3 – Now you can work in a team

In my personal experience, the Plus plan will help automate sales and generate more leads (and hence more profits). More than just the number of leads, the Plus plan’s feature to score each of your contacts will help you increase the number of quality leads in your threshold – Quality over quantity! Also, no business can scale seriously without a team. Since this option lets you add 2 additional users, you can train assistants to take more work off of your hands.

The Professional Plan – $99 per month for a list size of 1,000

If you have a big company and you need new and better tools and features (or you simply need more capacity) than what the Plus plan offers, the Professional plan is the one to choose.

Add these to the list of above-mentioned features:

  • Unlimited automation builders (versus the 5 offered in the Plus plan)
  • Web push notifications
  • The number of attendees in the webinars can now be 300 (recording storage also sees an increase – 6 hours now)
  • The option to conduct unlimited paid webinars
  • On-demand webinars – You can now see the webinar even after the live session has ended
  • Unlimited sales and webinar funnels
  • The number of users increases to 5

The Max Plan

This is their enterprise option. The GetResponse Max plan doesn’t have a specific price and you get a personalized quote in accordance with your needs. With respect to the features, the Max plan is as lavish as it can get. If you thought the features in the professional plan were more than enough, check this list out:

  • Single sign-on (SSO)
  • You get a dedicated IP address
  • Consulting for your email campaigns
  • Webinars can now host 500 attendees (recording storage becomes 10 hours with the Max plan)
  • The number of users increases to 10
  • Microsoft Dynamics integration
  • Phone and Slack support in addition to the live chat and email support which was there in all the above three plans.

The Max plan needs a minimum commitment of one year. This will be clearly laid out in the agreement which you’ll be asked to sign before you enroll for a Max plan. Of course, be sure to read all the terms and conditions carefully.

GetResponse List Size Calculation

GetResponse will count the same subscriber twice if it is present on two separate lists. The number of subscribers or the list size can simply be understood as the summation of all the subscribers on all the lists.

Save Money With GetResponse Discounts

Besides a monthly payment plan, GetResponse offers the option to pay either annually or biennially (once in every two years). The good part is that you can get heavy discounts if you choose these payment options.

On annual payments, you can save 18% of the original per month costs. You now effectively pay $12.30, $40.18, and $81.18 on a per month basis (billable annually of course) for the Basic, Plus, and Professional plan respectively.

On the other hand, if you choose to go with paying once every two years, you get a discount of 30%. The effective per month costs (billable biennially) will be $10.50, $34.30, and $69.30 for the Basic, Plus, and Professional plan respectively.

The biennial payment option seems tempting. But here’s why you may want to stay away from this option (or even the annual payment plan for that matter): GetResponse doesn’t offer a money-back scheme guarantee. Hence, you need to have utmost clarity about the longevity of GetResponse with regards to your needs before signing up for either the annual or biennial plan.

While I am a big proponent of GetResponse and stand by their product, you should make sure that it is the right tool for you before opting for a big lump payment.

Try GetResponse for Free

It is always a good idea to get a taste of things before diving into them in terms of investment of time and money. GetResponse seems to be fully aware of this hence they offer their users a 30-day free trial period.

Any plan that you choose, you will have an option to make use of the 30-day free trial period. This is a great option for people who are unsure and are looking to test the waters. It can help you decide if the tool is a good fit and, if so, which package is best for you.

If you want to give the GetResponse free trial a chance, check out the sign up page here.

Is GetResponse worth it for you?

Do you have a growth-centric and a large-scale business that needs sales automation and effective leads generation? If so, then GetResponse is for you!

But are you a solo professional or you have a small business and you just need effective email marketing? In this case, GetResponse might not be right for you.

The key to coming to a decision about whether or not to invest in GetResponse is this: Are you using all or a majority of the GetResponse features? If yes, well and good, but if your answer is no, I recommend you should look for something else.

GetResponse Deal-maker Features

After reading my GetResponse pricing review, if you are still wondering whether GetResponse is worth it or not, I want to highlight some of its features that stood out for me.

AutoResponders

Are you tired of drafting an e-newsletter and sending it manually every time? GetResponse’s autoresponder feature does this automatically. You can feed the interval/s at which you want the e-newsletters sent before-hand into the system. The intervals to choose from are (The list is only illustrative and not exhaustive):

  • A welcome message immediately when you get a new subscriber
  • To inform your subscribers of a discount offer on certain products – a week later
  • To get your subscribers to engage with you on social media – three weeks later

Apart from the above time-based messages, the AutoResponder feature also gives you the option to send action-based messages. The actions can be opens, clicks, birthdays, completed transactions, changes in account details, and more.

Tools for Marketing Automation

The drag and drop builder to create custom workflows was a feature I liked a lot. It basically helps you design a custom path (sort of a flowchart) that GetResponse will follow depending on the path a user chooses to take. This way, you can easily instill a unique experience and stand apart from your competitors.

Analytical tools

GetResponse goes beyond providing just the usual analytics such as the click-through, unsubscribe, open rates, etc. Options such as metrics over time, one-click segmentation, email ROI, e-newsletter performance comparison, and per-user information can be pivotal in deciding the difference between an average business and a very good one.

Increases Landing Page Efficiency

Through GetResponse’s landing page creator, you can put forward the most converting landing page of the lot. The conversion rates of the distinct landing pages can be compared in real-time. The landing page creator option becomes available with all the plans – basic, plus, professional, and max.

It can be helpful to compare costs of other popular landing page creators: Instapage is a minimum of $199 per month, and Unbounce a minimum of $80 per month. Considering this, a minimum cost of $15, $49, or $99 per month of the entire GetResponse plans seems a very viable and cost-effective option.

Conversion Funnels

With the introduction of conversion funnels, GetResponse went from being just an email marketing platform to an e-commerce website handler. You can now do all that will be necessary to boost your business without having to look outside GetResponse – create your own product catalog, Facebook or social media ad campaigns, channel users to sales pages, or even integrate platforms such as Shopify, BigCommerce, Etsy, etc.

GetResponse Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

To finish off my GetResponse pricing review, let me answer some of the most frequently asked questions about it.

What if I exceed my GetResponse plan’s list size limit?

A list extension fee will be chargeable in the month in which you happen to have more contacts or subscriptions. GetResponse looks to provide a seamless and uninterrupted user experience. You will not be asked to manually switch over to an upgraded plan.

Is it easy to cancel your account?

If you’re in the internet marketing world, you know that some SaaS providers make it notoriously difficult to cancel your account. They get you to sign up for a free trial and then count on your inability to find the cancellation process as a way to squeeze money out of you.

The good news is that GetResponse doesn’t resort to such tactics. It’s super easy to cancel your account. Just log in and go to your “My Account” page. You’ll find the cancel subscription section right there.

What does the GetResponse refund policy look like?

As I pointed out earlier, GetResponse does not have a refund policy in place as of now. Once your credit card is charged, there is no way you are getting the money back – even if you cancel immediately after the payment. So just make sure you like the product before going for anything beyond the free trial.

Do Non-profits have to pay the same amount?

There is a 50% discount for non-profits. However, your organization needs to qualify for the GetResponse for Non-profits Program.

Why Not Give It a Shot?

The great thing about GetResponse’s free trial is that you don’t even have to enter credit card information. So you don’t need to worry about cancelling in time to avoid a charge.

They stand by their product. And I’m a big fan too. I think if you give it a shot, you’ll see that it’s a good fit for you long term. But if it’s not, there is no risk. Check out the free trial here.
